J.P. Turner's Public Finance Department underwrites municipal bond offerings for projects with credit ratings ranging from non-rated to AAA.
The Department has over 50 years of combined experience in municipal underwriting and has completed approximately 70 municipal financing projects. We specialize in senior living facilities, including nursing, assisted living and independent living facilities. Our Public Finance Department has underwritten numerous industrial development bonds as well. The department members also have expertise in restructuring defaulted municipal bonds and participating in Chapter 11 reorganizations where the principal debts are secured municipal paper.
A successful municipal underwriting is the result of extensive due diligence efforts and thorough analysis aimed at determining an appropriate deal structure that addresses the needs of the borrower while presenting an attractive investment opportunity for suitable investors.
